Skyline Design produces both interior and exterior glass products for corporate, hospitality, transportation, and healthcare environments. Distinguished by its collaborations with renowned artists, photographers, and designers, Skyline Design has also been committed since its founding in 1983 to sustainable processes, materials, and techniques.
Learning objectives:
After visiting Skyline Design participants will:
- Have a greater understanding of the supply chain and infrastructure of glass fabrications in Chicagoland.
- Appreciate the environmental conditions needed for successful fabrication of various glass and glazing products.
- Know the various methods of producing glazing meeting the building code safety glass requirements.
- Gain an understanding the panoply of options available to the design team to provide visual and acoustic privacy behind glass systems.
- Be able to identify the limitations and deciding factors critical to successful architectural glazing installations.
This course is 1.5 LU|HSWs.
