Successful Moisture Management Planning for Mass Timber Buildings
Moisture exposure is a key concern for the design and construction of mass timber buildings. This session will focus on developing an approach to successfully identify and manage common construction-phase moisture risks specific to mass timber buildings. You’ll explore strategies for moisture management planning during the early design and construction phases of a mass timber building and discover why building enclosure coordination can be an important factor in mitigating long-term durability issues. Through the case studies and lessons learned that will be discussed in this session, you’ll identify potential solutions for reducing the risks of exposing mass timber to moisture during construction.
