Description:
One of the most common points of failure in new construction and renovation is in the glazing systems. Many glazing failures are avoidable with simple modifications to design and construction management. This program will review typical glazing systems, common failure modes, and measures that design and construction teams can implement to optimize performance.
Learning Objectives:
- Review types of glazing systems including storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and unitized.
- Review common modes of glass failure.
- Review recommended testing standards to include project specifications.
- Examine common installation and coordination issues and how to avoid them.
